45. Cedar Key, Florida - 1/30/25

Hey There,
This property has been detected many times now, so I was surprised to find more. If you aren't familiar with T&S then you might not know our home base was Cedar Key however Hurricane Helene changed that. Our September/2024 issue of Treasure News covers the Hurricane if your interested.
As for these findings, I was asked how I found the vase since it's glass (not metal), it was near the beep! Yep, about a foot down in the dirt with a few small scratches (lol). The other item is a Franklin Mint coin of birds (Egrets) that is 2 oz. of silver. Also found were two mercury dimes, a silver plated spoon and a locket. Cool!

46. Indian Rocks Beach, Fl. 2/12/25

Hi There,
This is Indian Rocks Beach located south of Clearwater Beach in Florida. Along this beach are numerous free public access points with free parking... if you get there early. They also have a public beach with paid parking that cost $2.50 an hour, the advantage to that would be the restrooms and rental umbrellas and chairs.
There was one other person metal detecting that morning. This beach is incredibly beautiful with lots of shells and great sand, I'll bet detecting the tourist season here is fantastic but... now isn't the tourist season.
My findings were a probe (strangely, I needed that) about a foot down in the sand and a bit of change too. Oh well.

47. Fort Island Gulf Beach, Fl. 2/19/25

Greetings,
Wow, this beach has really changed (probably due to the hurricanes). The building with the restrooms is gone and everything else too. I've had good findings here in the past but not this time, only a bit of change.
